JOURNALISM STUDENTS VISIT 1ST MSME FAIR

Students of Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) Lagos visited the first Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) exhibition from May 5^th-8^th, 2016 at Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa – Lagos.

The exhibition was a platform provided by the Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Co-Operatives for MSME operatives.

According to the Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, and Co-Operatives, Mr. Rotimi Ogunleye, the platform was aimed at promoting made-in-Nigeria goods provided the opportunity for MSME operatives to develop their locally produced goods and innovations.

The exhibition, partnered by Konga Online Shopping Mall featured over 100 entrepreneurs exhibiting their products and creative skills.

Representing the state governor, Dr. (Mrs.) Oluranti Adebule, Deputy Governor of Lagos State declared the Fair open and inaugurated the Lagos State Council of MSME in line with the national policy on MSME.

Commenting on the maiden event, one of the entrepreneurs at the exhibition stand, CEO of Labisi Oil, Mrs. Bisi Eretan expressed her appreciation, she said, ‘I am grateful to the Lagos State Government, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Co-operatives as well as Konga for this opportunity to show case our products and we have learnt so much within the few days and also made some useful contacts that will help our businesses to grow and more to the next level.’ She said.
