As the Nigerian Institute of Journalism comes together to celebrate the 6th edition of their Students’ Week 2016, the Provost of the institution, Mr. Gbemiga Ogunleye has praised the effort of students as he expressed confidence in them during the Entrepreneurship Exhibition.

Mr. Gbemiga said that he sees successful business tycoons like business magnate Aliko Dangote in his students during a speech he made to open the one week event.

The exhibition which kick started the week long students’ celebration tagged: ‘The MIC and The Pen’ had in attendance students from different levels of academics with mind blowing creations in pursuit of getting good grades from their Entrepreneurship lecturer, Mrs. Bisi Bamishe.

Mrs. Bisi who made the exhibition mandatory was also present to record every group’s delivery which she commented was very impressive. She also made a call of improvement by the new students who will resume fully in 2017.

In an interview with the Students Representative Council (SRC) Chairman, Adefolarin Badejo during the tour with the Provost and other supervisory bodies, he said ‘If our students can be this creative, then Nigerians should no longer be expected to always export from other countries’.

He also said that the Nigerian economy can only be in recession if it fails to encourage her own strength.

Meanwhile, students who displayed different exhibits also made gains from sales encouraged by numerous students who came to celebrate the concert which came immediately after the exhibition.
